As far as I know, DCD, or Developmental co-ordination disorder, is just another name for dyspraxia. I think that it is about time one name was used to descibe the condition to prevent any confusion and to give people half a chance of knowing about it.
But...experts will be experts and they seem too like giving everything lots of names!!!
This we know the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Yeah, I think DCD is another name for dyspraxia too. Dyspraxia has been known by some many names in the past, including minimal brain dysfunction and clumsy child syndrome, which I find really insulting!

I always thought Dyspraxia was a form of DCD like that it was an over all catagory............my head hurts it's all soooo confusing lol. What I find fascinating is there are so many over laps between conditions. Not only do some people have more than one disorder (not sure if that is the correct term) but many conditions/disorders show similar traits. For example people with autism may have tics like that of tourettes syndrome but they may not neccassarily have tourettes and dyslexics and dyspraxics can have short term memory problems. I think this is why things are so complicated and why so many people are un diagnosed. G.ps and teachers just don't know what to look for!

But the capacity of the soul is unlimited
Your's, mine, everybody's
