The world Through tinted lenses

Postby emma » Sun May 30, 2010 11:30 pm

I picked up my irlen lenses yesterday and I must say they are looking prety my frames are Rose pink with blue/ turquise coloured lenses in them my when I collected them before being shown them my optician commented on how prety they now were.

I am totally amazed with the difference that my glasses make to both reading and viewing the world generally. I read an average size novel last night from cover to cover in one go I have never done this before and my eyes didnt hurt at the end nor did I have a headache or fall asleep whilst doing this.

Today I wore my glasses outside and they seem to have given me a visual perception of where everything is I didnt walk into anyone or anyhthing.

So, sofar an all round success.

I am just a little worried now about the comments of others or the fact that other people might stare at me. Does anyone here have any experience with dealing with this soft of thing.

If all they're doing is staring, just ignore them.

If they ask why you've got them, just say they make the world look cooler (or something similar) :)
