Feeding as a baby

Tue Dec 06, 2011 2:43 pm

Did anyone else not figure out how to feed right away? I had to have a tube up my nose, and we can't figure out if it was my coordination already causing issues or if I was just a lazy baby.

It'd be interesting if it was a more common problem with dyspraxic people.

I was never that interested in food as a baby and had to be forced to feed-I wouldn't cry for food like most babies do. I never had to be fed by tube though.

Apparently I had no problems at all with latching. It was only until later my issues with food started.

I was odd in the oposite way, when it came for me to try solid food, my parents were told I'd definately refuse it or spit it out the first few times because that's normal and they should persevere. They cooked up a spoonful of baby rice, and I not only ate that, but apparently seemed very happy started looking around as if to enquire if there was any more...

When I say I've had a lifelong obsession with food, I do not exadurate.

I didn't like milk much when I was a baby. I worried my parents as I didn't feed properly.

I also wasn't interested in food and wouldn't cry ethier and I had to be tube fed, as everytime I was forced fed I would bring it back up (the doctors did give me a diagnosis for this but can't remember what)

As a baby I would drink, and I was put on a drip. I also struggled to eat foods.

The due date is the arrival of your long-awaited baby. This can be the most wonderful moment in your life since you can deliver a baby into this life. Most women say that childbirth can be the scariest part of pregnancy.
