Some bands I like (can't be bothered to write out them all and I'll probably forget some):

British Sea Power
Belle And Sebastian
Ash
Coldplay
The Kinks
The Smiths
Blur
Oasis
The Verve
The Zutons
Idlewild
The Cooper Temple Clause
Snow Patrol
Athlete
Embrace
REM
The Concretes
Many more bands...

Going to see Coldplay live supported by Elbow in 2 weeks and 3 days and going to see REM live supported by Idlewild and The Zutons in 2 weeks and 4 days, should be great fun providing they don't use too much flashing lights cause they do my head in

Is the REM concert in Manchester, by any chance? I wanted to go but didn't dare because of the crowd.

YES! Other Idlewild fans! Most people haven't even heard of them. American English is a beautiful song.

the REM concert I'm going to is in Hull, concerts are one of the only places I feel okay in crowds

American English is a gorgeous song, have you heard any of their new album?

I haven't bought a new CD in ages, but that will definitely be on my list the next time I go into a music shop.
