Maybe its a hearing problem your having. Try cleaning your ears with a cotton wool bud. If that doesn’t work, maybe try using a decongestant. If your ears are painful don't worry, there won't be any permanent damage. If the problem carry’s on consult your GP.

I Really hope this helps you out! I have had really bad colds where my hearing had diminished, but im fine now.

Ouch, I haven’t had a cold that bad but I hate the feelings when descending in a plane
