Fountain pens

One of my teachers suggested I write with a fountain pen to improve my handwriting. I do write more neatly with a fountain pen, but it's harder. When I use a fountain pen I have to write more slowly. Also, changing the cartridge is difficult.

Grrr! Fountain pens are one of my worst enemies. I can't clean them, I scribble with them for hours and they don't work, the ink floods the inside of the pen, the nib gets bent and I end up with ink all over my hands!

Hmmmm, fountain pens are pretty evil blighters!! I tend to press really hard when I write, so the nib often gets squished! Then the ink refuses to come out, and when it does, it blotches all over the page!!! Yarg- steer clear if you dont want your hand covered in ink!!

Evil things!

Oddly enough, I prefer them. They are heaver than ballpoints, and their weight and thickness makes them easier for me to control. (I have one with a special grip that is slightly heavier than average.) I do have a tendency to break the nib, but my writing is definitely neater than when I use a Biro.

i find fountain pens hard to write with, I generaly use either pencils or gel pens and I use those triangular rubber grips on them!!

I'm ,not sure if it is because I'm left-handed (when wrighting - when useing scissors I use my right hand), but when I used a fountain pen my wrighting always got smudged, making it meeyer. I don't use one anymore. Plus, I kept breaking them.

I use a gold looking pen with an ink inside, that once it finishes you throw away. It is an ink pen, but not a fountain one and it helps me write better. They are sold in packs of two.

They genrally make my writing neater, but my hands get covered in ink, and I press too hard. Try practising with one for a while, but be afraid, but dont be afraid to stop using them if your no happy with using them.

Hope this helped!

I press too hard anyway, whether it's a fountain pen or not.
