Good luck with your mocks.

I agree that ,mocks are irritating, but they are there to give you practice for the real thing.

Mocks or going into the exam unprepared?
I choose mocks.

I think it's better to have mocks before Christmas as it gives you a well earned break during Christmas. If it's after you'd be revising during the holidays and I don't think that's very fair.

Good luck with your mocks by the way.

Mocks are the preperation and a good indictation of what GCSE's will feel like. It's not nice, but it's got to be done and we've all been there.

Good luck with your mocks, take a bottle of water into the exam to help you concentrate for long periods of time.

I remember doing a 3 hour GCSE English paper in a morning followed by a 2 and a half hour Maths paper in the afternoon!

Calm down, sumer. If you've revised hard you'll do fine and even if you don't - it's only an exam.

Best of luck to both of you!

I had fifteen hours of A-Level exams crammed into two days, owing to a sickening number of clashes. Two French modules, two psychology papers, two Religious Studies papers, and some completely useless General Studies exam that not one of my universities cared about, yet which still ate up two hours of my time. I had to be locked up in a teacher's house overnight as well. Trust me. It could be a lot, lot worse!

I am glad that mocks come after Christmas, as it gives you extra study time. Every minute helps.

Before an exam I made up some kind of weird code making/mnemonic system based on first letters and numbers of the words I had to remember. I think it worked at the time but now I have no idea what it was. Not much seems to stay in my head for long.
