No wonder I find concentrating so difficult. Fizzy drinks just don't agree with me! :(

The sugar rush is only temporary, although it's good while it lasts! I practically live on Diet Coke and I always come crashing down to earth at some point, and then my memory blurs. Don't drink to excess - full-fat drinks rot your teeth and the diet kind are laced with aspartame, which is bad for the immune system.

If I have a lot of work to do and am feeling tired I drink fanta as it makes me a bit hyper and so I can get on with more work! I try not to drink too much though as it starts making me a bit strange after a while (even stranger than normal!)

If you can't have fizzy drinks, try flavoured water cos that is quite sugary too (although it's still bad for you so don't have too much!)

Since I'm a bit sensitive to taste, I never drink fizzy drinks. I think Coca Cola is disgusting! I stcick with a bar of chocolate for studying, usally works!

I used to drink fizzy drinks when I was younger, but never do now, sticking to fruit juices instead. I do get through far too much chocolate though :)

I normally love fizzy drinks, and they help my concentration for about 2 hours (a college lesson) but right now that's the last thing I want.

My favourite is Asda's Lemon and Lime Cola.

Did you know that it is believed that regular cola is healthier than diet cola, because of all the ingrediants that have to be added to the diet one to reproduce the sugar effect and add taste.

Fizzy drinks also rot your teeth. Water on the other hand improves concentration. I bet that if you ate a couple of pieces of fruit with their natural sugars and drunk a glass of water you would be equally well off.

That's not bad thinking David. I do like to add a bit of Robinsons for some extra flavour, and I'm sure that doesn't contain too much sugar.

Also I seem to remember seeing something on TV years and years ago that Cola contained something that led you to being unable to write in a straight line! I've not heard of this since, but there are probably reasons enough to lay off the pop without that anyway.
