Index cards are good for learning grammar. Use one card per verb tense and write out the different conjugations in coloured pens. Try to use colours to show the patterns - for instance, the endings to all regular French 'er' verbs could be written in red, the endings to all regular 'ir' verbs should be written in blue, etc.
For more specific tips, you will have to let me know what you find most difficult about language study. Is it grammar? Vocabulary? Speaking? Composition?

The coloured pen idea is great, I will note that down
I have trouble yes, with verb endings, and vocabulary, and random 'important' words you're supposed to know, but dont.

What language is it that you're learning? I am doing A-Level Frenach and Spanish, so I can help you with those.
The best way to learn a language is through pratice. Maybe you could get a pen-friend who speaks that language - that might help. Also, you could try watching films in the language (with English subtitles).
The coloured pens are a good idea.
Another good way to learn verb endings is to recite the conjugations and record them on a tape recorder. Then play them back.

You can buy foreign language films on DVD from sites such as amazon.com.
If there is anything in particaular you would like to ask me about French and/or Spanish, then I would be happy to help.

Hmmm forming the past tense and future tense in Spanish, and the present tense - irregular verbs - in French.
