Yeah I do art in college.

When doing art research, what I normally do is include:

- The artist's biography,
- Maybe briefly write about what you think of their work but don't go into too much detail,
- Try to include a quote or two from the artist about their own work,
- Back this up with loads of pictures (you can never have too many examples of the artist's work!)

Finding quotes and giving your own opinion about their work may help to get you extra marks, but I don't think it is essential... it just looks good  What the people are looking for is mainly the biography and pictures.

Hope this helps!

Last year I did a foundation diploma in art. Things may be different between this and art in school/college, but we were taught to spend most of the time explaining your personal thoughts on the artist and how researching them has affected your artistic journey. Maybe a little bio, quotes are good, and as Keeko said, loads of pic's.

The most important thing is that you explain why you're researching him/her and how the artist has affected your project.

|Hope this helps|
