Learning style quiz

Postby parnassus » Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:32 pm

This is an interesting quiz that will help you to identify your main learning style. Skinny's thread on how to study inspired me to go searching for it:

http://usd.edu/~bwjames/tut/learning-style/

It should be useful for people who want to find more effective ways of remembering information. According to my results I am a kinaesthetic learner (eight points) with a strong preference for auditory learning as well (seven points).

According to that, I'm a combination of a visual and kinaesthetic learner (6 points each), and 4 in auditory.

According to this quiz, I'm a strong auditory learner (9 points) with 4 for kinaesthetic and 3 for visual. I always knew I was more auditory than anything else but I didn't realise the difference was so big.

I got kinesthetic and auditory (7 + 7). I rarely work visually. If I try and imagine something I will always hear myself speaking out the story and feel myself walking, speaking or moving through it but I rarely see any visual detail. I think it's really important to know what works for you so far as studying. It took me a long while to work out that I was not going to remember things visually.

This neuroscientist says learning styles don't exist. I know a lot of people on this forum have studied/are studying psychology. What do you think of his points?
