You can get special grips for pens and pencils they are good.Ir just buy a stabilo pen (is that what its called i mean those pens that are bent and have a good grip) I use one i find my hand dosen't hurt so much withe them

I like to use yoropens, when I hold them properly they work very well to keep my hand writing neat.

Do you write in block letters or joined up? Because the school 'allowed' me to write without joining up my letters so my presentation was slightly neater. And like some of the previous comments, a pen grip is useful (I lost mine somewhere!) and if all that fails then you could request for a laptop.

I got the double whammy of being both left handed and dyspraxic so my handwriting never stood a chance of being legible! I've tried different types of pen and pen grips over the years but the only thing that really works for me so that the content actually comes across is using a computer.

request a laptop I got problems as it hurts when writing in my untidy scrawl. a sneaky way of getting a laptop would be decrease the neatness of your handwriting I have a method of writing in which it is not painful for me but it is so scruffy even I can not read it. If your teachers are anything like mine they will be asking you to use a laptop within a couple of days. Of course this is always a back up plan I would recommend talking to a SENCO about a laptop.
