1, 2,3,5,7, and 13 are all considered to be somehow special in a spiritual or magical way by various folklore that has been around over the years.

Why was 11 left out?

There are numbers which are called Master Numbers and 11 is the first one. Its not a mathematical pattern more of a myth.

This website explains it a bit http://www.decoz.com/Masternumbers.htm

If i Doesnt work here's what it says on eleven

The 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents illumination; a channel to the subconscious; insight without rational thought; and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness, and impracticality. It is a dreamer. The 11 has all the aspects of the 2, enhanced and charged with charisma, leadership, and inspiration. It is a number with inborn duality, which creates dynamism, inner conflict, and other catalyses with its mere presence. It is a number that, when not focused on some goal beyond itself, can be turned inward to create fears and phobias. The 11 walks the edge between greatness and self-destruction. Its potential for growth, stability, and personal power lies in its acceptance of intuitive understanding, and of spiritual truths. For the 11, such peace is not found so much in logic, but in faith. It is the psychic's number.

It's just I never herd of it as having special properties before, and the other prime numbers up to 13 all have famous segnificance.

It's not pretentious rubbish, it's a perfectly legitimate question. It doesn't require background knowlage, it's just a pattern I spotted with a missing link that I'd been wondering about on and off for a while and thought I'd share with anyone else who might be interested to get some new theories or extra infomation. That's how my mind works, I spot patterns and explain them. I just thought anyone else who does that for fun might be interested.

How is that pretentious?

I don't think Dan means your question. I think he's talking about the idea that numbers have special properties.

I wasn't referring to the original question, I was referring to the ridiculously sentimental literature about the number 11.
