I have just thought of another one. I don't know how many people on here watch Casualty but Yuki strikes me as having Aspergers. His social skills are virtually non existent, he is very socially awkward, he doesn't "get" small talk (in the episode where they were making recordings to Jessica, he doesn't say anything about hoping she recovers soon or anything emotional-he launches straight into explaining about an article he'd read about drowning and the chances of survival!) and he is very, very intelligent.

You must of read my mind! I was thinking the exact thing yesterday when watching it. Maybe Yuki will get his own storyline soon as May and Lenny have both had their fair share now.

I just want him to get together with May because it's so obvious he absolutely adores her! I agree though-he deserves some big storylines!

Jacob in the book "House Rules" by Jodi Picoult is diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. I don't agree with some of his behaviours as being typical of those with Aspergers but, in other ways, you can tell the author did a lot of research into AS as so much of his behaviour is similar to mine.

Damian in the book Millions by Frank Cottrell Boyce. He is not just a character who appears autistic; Boyce deliberately made him autistic, although the words 'autism' or 'Asperger Syndrome' aren't mentioned in the book itself. Millions came out not too long after The Curious Incident, and I wondered at the time whether we were going to have a deluge of first-person narratives delivered by autistic characters. Fortunately I was wrong. Damian is much less stereotypical than Mark Haddon's Christopher, and his autism isn't the main focus of the book. I found it a much more exciting read.

Edward Scissorhands

I'm not sure if he counts because he's not actually human.

Good one! I don't watch it any more but when I did, all of my family thought that he had Aspergers.

Death from Terry Pratchets discworld novels shows some signs. He spent ages looking for a "friendly" diamond and presented it to the woman as a dimond "to be friends with you" on the basis of "diamonds are a girls best friend".

I think Edward's Asperger's is obvious. He was based on Tim Burton :P

I watched "Dinner With The Schmucks" tonight and one of the main characters Barry strikes me as being on the autistic spectrum. He takes things very literally and, although he has a good heart, he is always making social faux pas. People think of him as lacking in intelligence even though the opposite is the case but, in the end, people realise that he's actually incredibly talented and a genuinely good person.

Im not certain but i suspect Sherlock Holmes (The Modern one) may have aspergers he's not good socially and is good at spotting the smallest things.
