most of my faves are series rather than individual books

kathy reichs: temperance brennan series
patricia cornwell: the kay scarpetta series
terry pratchett: everything - but the very best of the best are the tiffany and the wee free men/nac mac feegle books
the way i see it, dyspraxia is an extra hurdle in every race i run, but that extra hurdle, is just extra exercise, so in the end, i will come through stronger.

I love all of the Torey Hayden books and pretty much every book by Jacqueline Wilson. Other than that, I have too many to list as I've loved almost every book I've ever read.
