I'm left libertarian. My score wasvery far left, but only just beneath the Libertarian/Authoritarian line.
I think I am more liberal in terms of social issues than the test implies. I am very strongly supportive of freedom of expression. I think that the test over-emphasised my more conservative views on sexual ethics, and disreagarded my opinions on more important matters of social politics.

I'm left libertarian as well.

I'm the same. I'm very fussy as far as sexual ethics are concerned but tend to be quite extreme left as far as social issues are concerned. I'm not a communist or anarchist but I strongly believe in equality. I think that Socialism is the only way forward.

I've taken this test a few times over the past few years. I think they update the questions to follow the themes of the times which is a good thing.

Once again I came bang in the middle of left and libertarianism, apparantly sharing more or less the same ground as the Dalai Lama, which I'm not entirely sure about! I don't see myself as either an anarchist or a communist, which are the extremes of both political directions, but I do certainly prefer the systems used in European social-democracies over the market-based American system. However I do love the British system of letting people get on with doing what they want, rather than in Germany where it's forbidden to wash your windows on a Sunday!

I will defend the BBC's public funding to the death, but do admit the privatisation of some public services has been somewhat beneficial (I rather like the ability to call friends abroad from a few pence per minute, although even this has been overtaken by the wonders of Skype.) I'm still undecided on rail privatisation. It's had very rough patches, but I wonder if we would have seen the same amount of investment in new trains if British Rail had been alive and kicking today. Difficult to say.

I'm not particularly keen on big companies, and although they have their benefits in some respects, I still like small eclectic shops on the highstreet. However I'd be pushed to do my weekly shopping in the local family run shops in the area where I am. Beggars can't be choosers, and at the end of the day most people prefer the cheap prices the large chains offer, myself included.

Sorry that last Guest post was me. For some reason I'd been logged out of the site and hadn't noticed!

Just out of interest how far is everyone in their particular directions. I am extremely far left (according to this test), but only moderately libertarian.

Now I'm worried! Wasn't that quarter of the political spectrum colonised largely by dodgy dictators!

lol, that's ok then. I couldn't remember all of the names in that section. It seems a bit rough clumping them all together, whereas the quarter most people here seem to fall under can only compare themselves to Ghandi and the Dalai Lama. Fun nonetheless!
