I'd;

1) Advocate better protection of the environment - including in other countries.

2) Try to tackle world poverty so that no one dies due to starvation.

3) Try to sort out the tension/terrorism in the Middle East by bringing the Western World and the Muslim countries closer together using peaceful means.

4) Try to tackle the yob/binge drinking culture so that people drink and act more responsibly.

5) Abolish Britain's relationship with George W Bush: he is a threat to world peace, and I find it very worrying that he's the most powerful man on the planet.

I agree with most of the things you said, mattie.
However, I don't totally agree with the last one. I don't think that George W Bush is a competant leader (although I don't wish to judge him as a person.) It is worryng that our government does everything he says. However, if we severed all ties with him, we would have no hope of being a positive influence on him. The EU should try to exert sensible control over Bush's behaviour.

If I were Prime Minster I would:

1) Legalise abortion on demand up until birth
2) Raise taxes for the rich and abolish taxes for the poor
3) Donate more aid money to countries that need it
4) Pour funding into Rape Crisis groups
5) Pass laws ensuring complete legal equality between the rich and poor, men and women, blacks and whites, gays and straights
6)Put pressure on America to stop invading countries just because they feel like it
7)Make Frank-N-Furter my deputy Prime Minister
8)Respect all people(except the Tories  )

If I were prime minister:

1) I would sack all politicians who are a bit on the ugly side. In my humble opinion, it is bad enough that politicians talk sh*t without being an eyesore as well. :? :(
2) I'd employ a polygraph machine in all parliamentary debates and election campaigns, so that politicians are forced to tell the truth for a change.
3) I would ban political correctness, sack lenient judges and abolish the UK's overly generous benefit system.

Well, if I were president (since I wasn't born in the UK so I can't be a PM):

President Bush wouldn't be president so that would be a blessing

I'd try to improve the school system here in the US.

I would help the people in Darfur out instead of just standing around like Bush seems to be doing right now. I don' t think he cares, honestly.

I would help with getting people out of poverty so they could get food and shelter and everything else they needed.

I would try to spend more on helping the world in general.

I would somehow make tuition much cheaper in the US so everyone could go to college because more educated people would mean less people out on the streets begging for food or buying drugs. It's a big problem here and it gets ignored too much! :( Not as many people would have to go into prostitution to get food and shelter (it still happens even though it's illegal).

I would somehow help to end the stupid war on terror.--I mean, what exactly is the point of it when we have terrorists everywhere. I mean wars breed terrorists, right? I don't think terrorism will end until the world ends. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to combat it, but Bush went about it all wrong. He should have sent the Peace Corps over and not the Army. Peaceful dealings might have helped more. I mean, people need food, shelter, and clothes, not bombs and bullets. I can understand that he was angry after 9/11. Everybody pretty much was, but it's not fair to blame the actions of a fraction of people on a whole religion or country. Even though some Christians were Nazis it doesn't mean we all were and even though some Muslims are terrorists it doesn't mean they all are. Stupid Bush and his stupid war! :x

I would make healthcare cheaper.

I would make there be a Harry Potter day and Banned Books Week would be a national holiday week where people would have to read at least one banned book since banned books really do have a lot to say about the world, society, life, etc. A lot of good books I have read have been banned at one point or another and they deserve to be recognized with a holiday. 8)

I would let Gilmore Girls have a season 8 and I would ban all reality tv, except America's Next Top Model, American Idol, Inspiration Sensation, and What Not to Wear because those shows are cool.

I'd make baseball bigger than football again! It'd be the most popular sport again because football stinks.

I'd make there be a women's professional soccer league again and this time it would actually work because we'd have at least one midwestern team.

I'd try to make race relations be a little bit better. :)

If I were Prime Minister (or better yet, dictator!) I would...

1.) Reduce the time limit on abortion and change the law that says disabled babies can be aborted right up until the moment of birth. Peace begins in the womb, and if we're not equal there we aren't equal anywhere.

2.) Enforce a policy of unilateral nuclear disarmament.

3.) Apologise, humbly and publicly, for what has happened to Iraq. Encourage aid workers to return there in good numbers and try and build up a more cohesive network of support in the rest of the Middle East.

4.) Campaign tirelessly for justice in Palestine.

5.) Phase out the obsession with politically correct language. (No more 'accessible toilets'.)

And do a lot of other idealistic things that would probably be impossible to implement. :)
