The woman who had the face transplant couldn't speak and had difficulty eating because of her injuries. I think that makes it more justifiable than if the transplant had been for soley cosmetic reasons.

What would be the criteria for whether to transplant a face or not?

The criteria woul;d probably be determined by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) although I'm not sure.

Obviously not for beauty, then people would start asking for people's faces when they died. That is creepy.

It could put a whole new spin on wills. It could end up with people murdering other people for their faces. The world would go absolutely mad. Fashion models could put together elements of others' faces to create a beautiful image. Yuk! That is sick.
