Marfan syndrome

Postby Bladen » Fri Mar 10, 2006 4:23 pm

I've been doing a little reading into this disease, it's a chromosonic dis order that can lead to things such as:

Tall, thin body structure
Arachnadatyly/Spider fingers
slightly sunken breastbone
inflamination of the aora artery
Large hands
Large thin feet

a few doctors are thinking I have something related to this as I show a few symptoms except the breast bone and artery. So have any of you heard, read or know much on this particular disease.

I have, but I have to go to a lecture now (four minutes to get there!) so I can't talk to you about it just at the moment. However, I know there is some information on the syndrome at www.dyscovery.co.uk under the 'What is...?' section.

I've read about the condition in new scientist. I find it very interesting but don't no much information that would be of much use to you.

P.S. Try not to dislocate your joints too much.
