"My trustly 256mb mp3 player does the job" ftw. I hate iPods. Not only for the fact iTunes is riddled with spyware and stupid features but, well, as the topic title implies, iPods are everywhere. I still remember when MP3 players were something "different" now I can't go a day without hearing or reading the world iPod somewhere. But yea, I've got a fairly cheap player (Going on a year old now) with 256MB space, personal speakers and non-rechargable batterys. The origonal earphones are long since dead and the ones I use now are kinda naff but its still great, just goes to show you don't need a 50 GB Flash drive smaller than a leaf and a bjillion stupid mini-games and un-important features. All it needs is the play button. Oh, and a USB port, obviously. Without some way of connecting to a computer it'd be pretty useless, lol.

I don't have a cd player, or a walkman, of an mp3 player or an ipod- in effect i have nothing- and am quite happy to have nothing- my own day dreaming keeps me occupied!

I don't have an mp3 player because i don't need to hear music everywhere I go.

however, I advise everyone to avoid the Zune like the plague. (excessive DRM)

Sorry, i think this topic is wrong as you're saying people who have ipods are sheep, i have an ipod because i wanted something around the £100 range that will fit my music on and the ipod does the job

I have a cheapie 2GB ipod nano lookalike. It plays music and videos, and has a couple of games and allows me to read ebooks on there as well. It was £45 from eBay (new) and was my Christmas present.

Yes, I have a cheapie too lol! It holds a lot of songs though but I'd better have a rummage around because I've lost it.Ipods are not cheap, and I would preferbly stick with my old cheapie than get an ipod!

Its not an ipod lookalike its a little roundish thing, its black and is at the back of my drawer with songs that I haven't heard for donkies.
