Spanish because it's easy!
Gaelic becuase it's Scottish!
Welsh (not on the list) because it's cool and because everything in Wales is bilingual!

California is in close proximity to Mexico, so knowing Spanish is a definite asset when you live here.

I've really lapsed on my Spanish, though.
