to me right now my grades are very important right now (year 11) and i spend alot of time on here or revising but there are girls who only seem to care about make up.

Although it is worth noting that both of those desires can coexist together.

You wouldn't say that if you had my colouring. Blond eyelashes and near-white skin are the eternal curse of both sides of my familly.

Grades are obviously infinitley more important, but I don't see what's wrong with taking a little pride in your apearance.

At the moment it's grades, but I have a feeling once I graduate college in June I'll be leaning more toward looks. I want to find a good job and to do that it's important to look nice as well as be smart about things. I also would eventually like to find a man as I am 22 and I'm not getting any younger! Looks are important there as well as smarts. Smarts I think win out in the end though because if you look pretty but you've got really bad grades it's harder to get a job. Also, most people like to marry someone who cares about their looks but also is a smart person. They are both important in their own way, but being smart will get you further.

I agree with Steph, you can get amazing grades, and look amazingly good, I don't really see the problem.

Grades but I guess looks account for something, some people take it over the top though.

Right now looks, as I am not studying for anything so grades aren't important.

Not that I really care about looks either.
