Tin Man (2007)

I'm sure you guys have seen me talking about this show. It's one of my many obsessions and it's great to make Youtube videos with. I thought it was time there was a whole thread dedicated to it. I mean, it won Emmys for goodness sakes! For those who don't know what it's about:

So, basically, it's a modern-day, science-fiction "remake" of The Wizard of Oz. A girl named DG who lives in Kansas is thrown into a tornado by her parents. She wakes up in a dystopian place called the Outer Zone. There, she meets an intelligent inventor who had his brain removed (who, by the way, shows signs of dyspraxia!) a timid lion-like man with the ability to see into people's pasts and a surly ex-Tin Man who had been trapped inside a iron maiden-type contraption. They learn that they have to work together to save the Outer Zone from being taken over by an evil witch. It's awesome. It's dark, a little twisted, complex, sad, funny and frankly: butt-kickin'! It stars Zooey Deschanel, Raoul Trullijo, Alan Cumming and Neal McDonough. There is also an appearance of Richard Dreyfuss.

You can buy the DVD on Amazon, it occasionally shows on the TV and the entire three episodes can be viewed on Youtube. If you're into science-fiction or Wizard of Oz, I highly recommend it. Plus, there are elements in it that are similar to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, so if you like that, you'd probably like this as well. Here's a little taster (with hopefully doesn't have too many spoilers.) It's one of my favourite scenes:

OK, I'm a saddo if no one replies
