Just to say that any chatroom promoted on this forum, is not anything to do with DT or the admin and so is not monitored or regulated by them. They are external chatrooms and DT cannot be held responisble for their content.

I would also like to point out that DT goes through cycles of activity - sometimes there are a lot of people posting, and sometimes the posts slow down. As so many people here are at school or university, the frequency of posting usually depends on how close we are to exams or holidays.

Another good thing to remember is that quality beats quantity - one of the things I like about DT is that while it may take people a while to respond, what they do write is usually thoughtful and quite substantial. I'd much rather read a few posts that give me something to think about and discuss than a whole spate of posts that don't say very much.

On the idea of a chat room. I don't think it woud be particularly useful or apropriate.

On correcting grammar and spelling. Different forums have different rules regarding the legibility of the post. Because of the nature of the difficulties of many pepole on this forum, getting hung up on spelling and grammar would be highly inapropriate. If you cannot read something, ask for clarification. If you can, then in this context the grammar and speling are perfectly adequate.

wow. I think that should help show someone that we have no need for chat rooms.
I don't even use msn barely at all and use facebook to chat.
