Shoe wise I live in my Crocs (and own various different styles and countless pairs ) Trainers I adore my Etines (sp*) but keep the laces done up and tucked in all the time

I remember having some self tiying shoe laces in the 90's can't remember the actual name of them tho. They were fun.

Ugh, dislike shoelaces. I cannot tie them, at all. Now, the logical thing would be to wear Velcro shoes. I know. But my stubborn nature refuses to let me, because lace-ups just look better. I get people to tie them for me. Luckily - apart from one occasion where a girl in the corridor tried to stand on my undone laces to purposely trip me up, luckily her space awareness seemed to be about as good as mine and she missed the lace entirely - I've never had any real issues because of it. Unless you count a lot of falling up stairs, and some falling down stars, and random moments of people walking to close to me. As I said to a few people who told me I should really wear Velcro shoes; 'I'm fine! Until someone stands too close to me, and then it's their fault'.

Old people on the bus tell me my shoelaces are undone, I look at them - the shoelaces, not the old people - and I tend to just shrug and say 'So they are, yeah', and go about my day. The old people may think I'm being rude, but oh well.

I barley ever wear shoes with shoe-laces; I always wear slip-in boots. The only time I do use tie-up shoes is when I'm excersising, and, when I do, have to constantly keep retying them.

I never wear them after I was totally humiliated in primary school in front of a class by my teacher cos I couldnt tie them now I tell people even at interviews for care assistant jobs just incase I am expected to tie residents laces.
