Can anyone recommend good children's books that can help a 7 year old understand what dyspraxia is all about?

Hello John,

My Friend Has Dyspraxia by Nicola Edwards would be a good start. It is simply written, attractively presented, and covers nearly all the major aspects of dyspraxia with sensitivity and insight.

The Dyspraxia Foundation has produced a booklet called 'Dyscover Yourself' that is aimed at primary-aged children with dyspraxia. This would be ideal as well. It includes quotations from children with dyspraxia and is illustrated with their drawings, which I thought was a nice touch. You can order it from the Dyspraxia Foundation's website.

I hope this helps.
