After intense training with my mum, I now use my fork in my right hand, prongs facing downwards, and my knife in my left hand :D

That is exactly what I do, but nobody really hates it for me.
As for myself I use my fork in my right hand and knife in left. I'll avoid a knife if possible and use a teaspoon to eat Sunday dinners with if I'm at home. If something is also too tough to tear I ask somebody to cut it for me.
I also butter with a spoon as I cannot grasp the whole buttering knife action.

I always hold my knife and fork in the wrong hand because I cant use the fork if I don't.

I always hold them the wrong way round and use a spoon whenever possible, it's much easier :) And I never really cut food, I find it really difficult. Instead I hold down the food with the knife and tear at it with the fork. It's a pain because I always get told off by my grandparents whenever I seen the because of it, apparently it's bad manners??
