Volcanic ash paralyses the skies over Europe

Have you seen this? Talk about epic, I'm so glad we weren't going to Jersey this week. All air travel suspended until at least 1pm tomorrow.

I feel so sorry for everyone who has been affected. I read yesterday that scientists have said it could keep erupting for 12 months with periodic disruption to air travel.

Three of the teachers at the school where my mum works can't get back home for the start of term. All the part-time staff are having to do full-time until they do.

3 of my friends are stuck on holiday so are missing days of school. But they seem happy enough about it.Even though they say they are getting a bit bored and they don't know what they will do when they run out of money.

I was stranded in the South of France. We were very tense when we got to the airport on Saturday and realised no flights will be going until Friday. We managed to find alternative travel and went by train from Nice to Calais and then got ferry from Calais to Dover. Thankfully my friends boyfriend was able to give us a lift back from Dover. We got back yesterday evening. I'm exhausted but so pleased I have managed to make it home all in one piece.

i got stuck in this, i was in seattle with the college
i was stuck with a girl who dosent understand me, she expected me to b able to do things like play guitar, and throw/chacth frizbees
the way i see it, dyspraxia is an extra hurdle in every race i run, but that extra hurdle, is just extra exercise, so in the end, i will come through stronger.

I have heard it has started back up again a little, you watch our trip to Jersey get cancelled or something.

I don't think it actually stopped. It just eased up or something, and they decided that the amout of ash at the moment was safe enough to flythrough.
