Hi :)

Im Jess, Im 18 and from the UK.
I haven't actually been diagnosed, I was taken out of mainstream school due to bullying when I was about 4. Then I went to a little quiet family run school, with no professional teachers, and they don't really look for this sort of thing so much at college.
About a year ago, one of my friends who is dyspraxic noticed how I write and asked if I'd ever been tested, and that he thought I should. I forgot about it until recently, and I looked it up on the internet, and it makes so much sense, and my parents agree with me. However, I went to my GP to find out, and he basically told me I was talking rubbish and was obviously clinically depressed.
So I shall wait to see the uni psychologists.
Well...hello :). I can't think of anything to say now.

Hi Jess. My name is Jess too, and I'm 25. I volunteer at a dyslexia organisation, at a toyroom in a charity shop and at my local library. Welcome to the forum. I hope you get a diagnosis when you tell the Uni psychologist that you think you're dyspraxic. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was 15 by an occupational therapist. Unfortunately my school didn't understand about dyspraxia and didn't support me and I had to leave school early in year 11 due to depression and anxiety caused by bullying.

Hiya! I'm Steph and I'm 22. I have both dyspraxia and Aspergers Syndrome. I live in Surrey in south east England and I work as a support worker in a residential school for children with severe and complex epilepsy and other neurological and physical disabilities. It is very challenging but I enjoy it and I am getting better at it now! I love animals (I have 3 cats at home), the Internet, learning about other cultures and languages, reading and listening to music. I hope you enjoy the boards :D
