Hi everyone

Hi folks. My name is Anna and I have dyspraxic and dyslexic. I used to be a teenager, but am not anymore lol ,but I used come on these boards back in the day when I was a clumsy and disorientated a'level student (as opposed to a clumsy and disorientated adult lol), about 6-7 years ago. I doubt whether many of you remember me as I didn't write much, but I think I recognise some names. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and hope you are all well.

Hiya! I'm Steph and I'm 26. I have both dyspraxia and Aspergers Syndrome. I live in Surrey in south east England and I work as a support worker in a residential school for children with severe and complex epilepsy and other neurological and physical disabilities. It is very challenging but I enjoy it and I am getting better at it now! I love animals (I have 3 cats at home), the Internet, learning about other cultures and languages, reading and listening to music. I hope you enjoy the boards :D

Thank you Steph and Lucy for you welcomes. I am from Milton Keynes but have been teaching English as a foreign language for the last few years. Most recently I taught in Portugal, but before that I was in North Spain and The Czech Republic. I am back in the UK now and have just started my Masters in Education, I'm retaking my GCSE maths for the third time as well !!! (still after that blasted C :P)

I was about 15 when I was officially diagnosed dyspraxic. Professor Amanda Kirby diagnosed me at the Dyscovery centre in Cardiff and I fell in love with the city, I vowed I would work hard enough to get into Cardiff Uni. I did and managed to get in and get a degree in philosophy :).I sort of grew up gaining support from these boards but I was always too shy to post. I don't know if Vicky Biggs still posts on here, but I remember way back when she was writing her book, she sent out emails asking fellow dyspraxics to offer their experiences. She sent one to me too but I never replied. I think I was just too shy and possibly in denial about being dyspraxic. I regret it now of course and just wanted to say sorry Vicky for not replying to her email but thanks for writing such an amazing book, it helped me a lot to come terms with myself :)

Anyway sorry for the mini essay.
Love Anna x
