School, living in a new country

Postby Bethanymaymillie » Wed Feb 25, 2015 1:19 pm

hello my name bethany, I'm 14 years old ,

Is there anyone that stuggle going to school because of lack confidents ??
I have always found it very hard to go to school, I got bullied at my old school because I have speical needs, we've moved from England to Malta so now I have a new school to get used to and the other children speak a different language. I always have found it hard making friends but its even harder now,. Most days I don't want to go and I'll try to pretend I'm poorly or I kick off and refuse to go, it's really stressing my mum and dad out. What can I do? I fed up of stressing my mum and dad out and even myself, I been given tablets, dose anyone eles get given tablets for anxiety??

If anyone can help me out with what to do I be thankful,
Bethanymaymillie

Hi Bethany. I have never taken medication for anxiety but I have had attacks of acute anxiety since the age of five and I have also had depression on and off for the last twelve years so I do understand what you are going through. Is homeschooling perhaps an option? I know it's a big decision for you and your parents to make and it may not be viable if they both work but it may help you keep up with your education and also give you more time to learn the local language so that you will find socialising with your peers easier too.I'm not sure what else to suggest but I wanted to offer you some support. I hope things get sorted soon.
