imagination and picturing things

I not even sure this is in the right place but does anyone else not picture things when someone says picture this I just don't see anything :s

I have that sometimes, but it depends what it is. Some things I can imagine with over the top vividness, others I can't imagine at all.

Coool thanks i was asked to imagine an elephant and everyone else was desc ribing there's in great detail and I just couldn't do it

I have the same problem as well. A lot of dyspraxics do not have the ability to think in pictures (so can't really picture things in their minds)-it's just not how our minds work although I know there are some exceptions.

Steph you make me feel so much better I went to this thing for dyslexics and thwy were like picture something that goes with the word and move the word round in your head I had to makw lots of stuff up lol and my dad was like if you don't think in pictures / pictture things how do you remember faces and I was like I have know I idea

Faces is a weird one with me. I can recognise people when they are in the situations I expect them to be in such as a colleague in work but, if I see them in the supermarket, I walk straight past them not recognising them. I am also very poor at describing how people look when they are not in front of me-I have been known to describe people as short with blonde hair when they are in fact tall with brown hair.

This is me all over I apparently walked starigt past a second cousin of mine who I haven't seen ages when I was at the cinema with my friend ahahha

I can't pictures things, nor do I reconginse people outside a siutation, however I can easily make up stories so i guess i have an imagination
