Anyone else struggle with noisy environments

Postby becky » Mon Mar 30, 2015 8:11 pm

Sometimes when it gets too load I almost freak out. Especially if it lots of different noises together. For example a room full of people all talking at once. Or two/three songs on at once.
Just wondered if anyone else had this? Any tips for staying calm? Kind of makes parties hard to go to as the noise can really get to me.

Yes this happens to me. Go to the loo and take a few deep breaths. As for parties I tend to avoid them.

Oh yeah especial if people doo insist on blaring music so loudly that people in Mexico can hear it ! when this happens I can get out of that room faster than a leopard. I can not stand it, it sends my brain into a bit of a melt down.

I really struggle with noisy environments too. Yesterday night, I went to see my mum and stepdad in their amateur dramatic version of Sunset Boulevard and I was sat right at the front. Not only did I have the noise of the orchestra right in front of me but I also had a group of girls behind me who were yelling and screaming every time their friend came on the stage. It was torture for my ears! I find taking a break from the environment, if at all possible, helps.

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone have tips when you can walk out? I find keeping my mind on one topic helps instead of the nosie. For example if the music to loud at a party, focusing on dr who or something helps.
Also how to people cope with parties and clubbing. I went out with my friends clubbing for the first time and I enjoyed it to begin with but really struggled with noise. (I actually ended up in tears and fingers in ears.) I heard ear plugs might help. Any know if this works or any other tips.

Just try saying you need to step outside for a moment and get a breath of fresh air. Yes ear plugs may help.

I think it's great you are giving parties and clubs a try. That's brave. I can't cope with them. I prefer to be some where quiet with just a few people.
