Index cards are good for learning grammar. Use one card per verb tense and write out the different conjugations in coloured pens. Try to use colours to show the patterns - for instance, the endings to all regular French 'er' verbs could be written in red, the endings to all regular 'ir' verbs should be written in blue, etc.
For more specific tips, you will have to let me know what you find most difficult about language study. Is it grammar? Vocabulary? Speaking? Composition?
