I find ti easier to convey emotion in music. Speaking in a monotine really does not help when trying to express emotion.

I prefer writing to talking. When I told my current boyfriend about my Aspergers Syndrome, I was lying next to him but couldn't get the words out (due to a nasty experience with the last guy I was involved with) so I wrote it as a text message on my phone and just handed the phone over to him. I also prefer text messages to phone calls for the same reason that I prefer writing to talking-you have more time to think over what you want to say and it's more straightforward (to me anyway).

For me, no to music but I love to write and often I am better writing down my feelings and problems on paper than I am ever at speaking them out loud to someone.

Yes, I prefer to write. I'm completely deaf on the phone as well, so I prefer to text.

Writing is by far the easiest way for me. I like to have time to think. MSN and e-mail are best, as I tend to get nervous in face-to-face interactions (unless I'm with good friends). I can never say what I mean and I know I come across as strange.

James, what do you mean when you say you use music to communicate? Do you compose pieces to reflect what you're thinking, or something like that?

I find msn/facebook/texting a lot easier to communicate with people unless I know them very well.
